In Nigeria today, for your bank account to be fully activated and functional for transactions, you must link your BVN number to your bank accounts else you may not be able to receive or withdraw money.
The good news is that you don’t have to queue anymore in banking halls in order to connect, add or link your BVN to bank account number but with a simple USSD code, you can easily do it with your phone from the comfort of your home, shop, or office.
Bank Verification Number (BVN) was introduced by CBN in an effort to reduce illegal banking transactions in Nigeria. Every Bank account owner was directed to link their account to their BVN or else be denied of performing transactions with the account.
